This weekend our family participated in Start! Heart Walk, the American Heart Associations Premier fundraiser. Did you know that Cardiovascular disease is our nation’s No. 1 killer and Strokes are No.3? We decided this was a great cause that we as a family wanted to support. The event was a 3 mile walk with 14,997 of our closest friends! They had tons of free heart healthy foods and drinks, live music, and blood pressure checks.
Leighton got to ride in style most of the way but towards the end I let her fully participate and walk. She loved seeing all the doggies along the way and somehow ended up going across the finish line on her daddy's shoulders. After the walk was over we stayed for a while and listened to the band while Leighton danced, she is such a good dancer! Check her out...
